New additions to our tree this year

We have a tradition to get each other ornaments every year and these are some of the ones we got this year.

Jaden started a tradition this year to buy me a snowflake ornament each year. I love snowflakes so I was super excited about this tradition.
This was the one that Jaden got for me. I thought it was super cute.
I try and find ornaments that have something to do with that year, maybe something they did or accomplished or a big even. This whole last year Kysa has just been dancing up a storm. She just loves to dance. Any time that music comes on or a song at the end of movies starts she is up and movin around. Just so cute. So I just thought that this ornament was so fitting for her this year.
I got this one for Jaden because he made those baskets and won us $600! He made the 3 main ones so I thought that this one showed that. Even though the last basket ball the money ball the other 3 were important too. So 3 balls 3 baskets.
This little ornament was a surprise for us. We got home one night and there was a box wrapped. SO when I opened it this was inside. There was no card or name on it so we don't even know who it was from. So thanks to our secret friend!
This one was in hope that we would get the house we bid on before the end of the year. Well that didn't happen so we will have to regift this one next year.
My mom gave us this one for Christmas. I love it.
We have a tradition that if we travel anywhere we get an ornament from that place to remember that trip. So this one and the next one is from our trip to Louisiana.

This one is from our trip to California.

Christmas morning

McKenzie, Jacob, Austin, and Mindy all opening there Christmas presents. Mindy was such a stinker, she came with make up on and her hair all done, and the rest of us didn't even have make up on and we had yesterday hair. Yikes!
Alexis, Britney, Jaron, and Kaylee
We got to talk to both of the boys via Skype. We were so excited to see and talk to them. For some reason I didn't get a picture of Thomas. Sorry Thomas. It made Christmas just that much better.
Kysa opening a little christmas present, she looks a little raggamuffinish but it was early.
The tree with all the presents

CHristmas Eve activities

We have a tradition that Christmas Eve everyone gets matching PJs. This year we cordinated the kids and all the grown ups. We also gave Kysa a Tinker Bell blanket which isn't really tradition I just thought it would be fun to give her it. LOL! We all forgot to take a picture of all of the girls matching and the guys and kids. But you can see what we are all wearing and tell.

Kysa in her Christmas Eve PJs with her new blanket.
My mom got a bunch of gingerbread houses for everyone to decorate and then they would be judged as to whos was the best. Well ours was pretty crappy so we had to put in a plea. LOL!
Brit and Jaron got the one that was already put together so there's was definitely the best, hands down!
Mindy and Jacob's was kind of like ours but better. Apparently decorating gingerbread houses isn't mine and Jaden's forte.
This is my mom reading all of us the night before Christmas, the kids were having a hard time just sitting there to listen. I heard it all though. LOL!

Silly Kysa

While we were down in Vegas at my parents Kysa had a lot of fun doing all kinds of things. As you can see here she was helping my mom do some cleaning. Kysa is scared of our vacuum so she wouldn't even try to do this at our house but she sure had a good time doing this at my mom and dads.

Britney brought down her little play mat for Kaylee and Kysa thought she would just get under it and play too. She didn't think Kaylee would mind too much, LOL!
Kysa and Kaylee just having a good time.
I just thought that Kysa looked so cute and grown up in this picture. I can't believe how big she is getting. She isn't my baby anymore.

Shooting

My dad took Jaden and I out shooting to try out some guns to see which one we wanted to buy. We started out with a 38 special and Jaden and I weren't fans of it. So we switched over to a 9mm and we both liked that one much better. We also shot my dads 45 and we both really liked that one too. With the 9 and 45 we could actually hit the place we were aiming at. All in all it was a lot of fun.

Me shooting the 38 special.
Jaden shooting my dads 45.
My dad shooting his gun.
My target. The scattered shots were with the 38 and the ones that are in a big group were with the 9 and 45. Much better.
Jaden was a pretty good shot.
My dads was scary good!

looking at Christmas lights

One of our family traditions is going and looking at Christmas lights. We always try to find the best ones. Mindy luckily knew where all the good ones were. There was a block of houses that does an awesome display of lights every year so that is where we went first. It was a lot of fun.

Looking down the street at the whole block.
Cute little Kaylee and brit.

The drive down to Vegas for Christmas

We got lucky and missed all the bad weather that there was for like 4 days. So we just got to enjoy all the beauty that was left behind. Rain in the distance made this pretty rainbow.
Kysa enjoying the ride.
Jaden driving (obviously)
Me just enjoying not having to drive.
While we were driving through the gorge there were waterfalls everywhere. I hadn't ever seen anything like this in the gorge so I took a couple pictures of the falls.

Decorating the Christmas Tree

We decorated the tree a little early this year, lets just say I was really in the christmas spirit. My house always looks so nice with all the decorations. I am glad they get to stay up for a little more then a month. Yippy!

Kysa really liked putting the ornaments on but she also liked taking them off and playing with them. You could always tell where Kysa had put her ornaments because they were all clumped together on like three branches.

Playing with one of the ornaments.
