Time for an update

So I thought that today since I have some time I should do a little bit of catching up. Thankfully my sisters have been so kind to keep y'all informed on some of the things happening in the past little bit. The boys (Tyler and Thomas) got their calls! Yippy! I am not going to lie I was super excited that they were staying in the country. Outside, kind of scary! They were a little disappointed in not going outside the US but I thought it was great!

The baby shower (not bridal shower, nice one Brit) went really well and I really felt loved when almost everyone that we invited came. I got a lot of things that I needed which was really nice. I thought for sure all I was going to get was clothes because well lets face it, little baby girl clothes are just so darn cute! I did get quite a few but I still got things I needed which made me so happy. If they don't get it for me then I just won't get it and that could be bad. For instance, no bottles: Well we didn't get any bottles Jaden what do you want me to feed her with? How about a straw? LOL! So you see that could have been a big problem. Thank goodness someone found it in the goodness of their hearts to give me some bottles. LOL!
Can I just tell you how much it sucks being like 33 weeks prego and driving in a car for 6 hours! I was so uncomfortable and in so much pain that I just wanted to get out and walk the rest of the way home, ok maybe not, but you get the idea of my pain.
So on Monday my doctors office called to tell me that I don't have gestational diabetes. Thank goodness! So now that we know that, that means that I am just a freak with a lot of fluid around my poor little Kysa. Well Wednesday I went and got my stress test and that was just weird. They put these bands around your belly with these 2 little blue triangle thingys and they monitor you and the baby. There are two graphs that are on the screen. One is to show the babies movement and the other one is to show if you are having contractions. So I am sitting there watching these lines go up and down and up and down. I didn't realize it but I was having contractions the whole time. Sure it was a little uncomfortable but I just thought that that was the baby moving around and putting pressure down there, WRONG! So now I know that I have been having contractions for like 3 weeks now and just thought that the baby was doing that. NICE!
So anyways, the doctor checked me out (OUCH) and everything is fine. The baby isn't trying to come right now. She did say that she didn't see her coming in the next two weeks but after that it could be any day. SWEET!
I have been having such bad rib pain that I just want to die. There isn't anything that I can do to fix that though except tylonal or a nice warm bath. So I am thinking she is just going to have to come sooner like around the 26th (Kerri's guess for when she will come. I hope she wins!). I'm not going to lie that pushing a kid out my whoo hoo really scares me (ouch once again). Anyways so that is the update. The baby is good and I am in pain, to make a long story short!

news on being to big

Today we went and got the ultrasound to see why I am too big. It didn't go quite as I had hoped. I do have to much fluid and her abdomen is larger than it is suppose to be. The doctor that came in to talk to us about this told me that he thinks that I might have gestational diabetes. I already tested for it and my doctor told me that I wasn't even close to having it. So I am a little confused. I have to take the test again but the test is a little more elaborate this time. The doctor said that because there is so much fluid the uterus thinks that I am farther along than I really am so I could go into labor early. The Doctor that talked with us just pretty much told me all the bad things and all the bad things that could happen but didn't tell me anything good and didn't tell me anything that would answer any of the questions that I might have to make me feel at least a little better about the whole thing.

On a lighter note we did get some really good pictures of her. They did a 3D ultrasound for us and it turned out so good. It was really fun to get an idea as to what she might look like. I think that she has my nose and the rest is really a toss up. What do you think?
The top picture you can really see her face, the second picture shows her with a little grin. I am a little partial but I think she is super cute!

The room and Too BIG??

Jaden and I finally got some of Kysa's room done. I was so excited about it. We painted her room a very light green color. We put her crib together to find out that we were missing a piece. I was a little saddened by that. We ordered the piece so hopefully it will be here soon. We got these box things that we are using for her dresser. It was much cheaper than buying a dresser and we really can't afford that. But this works just fine for us. I haven't had a chance to hang anything on the walls but it is coming along slowly.

Covering all the holes in the wall with that white puddy stuff.

My master painter. He did so good. He only got a little on the floor and futon. lol!

The crib with no mattress but has the bedding in it. Hee hee!

The Curtins, and the makeshift dresser.

Here is my 7 month picture. I'm getting bigger by the day. I went to the doctor yesterday and she told me that I am measuring about 3 cm over what I should be. So I have to go get another ultrasound next Tuesday to make sure that everything is ok. No wonder everyone keeps asking me if I am due like tomorrow. I guess I grew like 4 cm in 2 weeks and that isn't normal and I am to big for as far along as I am. This really stressed me out, so bad that I didn't really sleep last night. I am just worried for Kysa. I just want everything to be fine. I had Jaden get up at like 6 to give me a blessing, he was getting up anyways to go to work. In the blessing it said that everything would be fine. That made me feel so much better. As soon as I got back in bed I went right to sleep. I should have had him give it to me at 3 when I was wide awake and wishing for sleep. I am putting it in the Lord's hands now. I know that everything will be fine. He told me so himself!

The Jazz and snowcats!

So if you recall on the 12th day of Christmas our not so secret friends gave us 2 tickets to the Jazz game. So last Wednesday we went to the game. They were playing the New Orleans Hornets, so the game had a special meaning for us. We had really good seats and it was my first basketball game so it was a blast. Jaden's brother Jesse was there so during half time we met up with him. It was a lot of fun.

The game from our seats!

Jaden and I at the game.

Two days ago I got to do two firsts. I got to ride in a semi, and got to ride in a snowcat. Just in case you aren't really sure what a snowcat is, If you ever saw the movie National Treasure, at the beginning when they are going to the boat that is in the snow, the things that they are riding in are snowcats. Here is a picture to give you a better idea.
This is actually two. The smaller one is in front and the bigger one that we took is in back.

Jaden in the cab of the semi we got to ride in!

Lindsay, Swayzee, and me in the back of the snowcat.

In case you can't tell by the look on my face I am not looking so happy. Lets just say that it was a little too rough of a ride for someone as pregnant as I am. I was very uncomfortable! All in all though we all had fun and it was something new for both Jaden and I.

A day to make you reflect

This last Tuesday Jaden and I were sitting at home watching the Hulk when Jaden got a phone call from his mom. Jaden paused the movie and seemed really upset but wasn't saying anything that would give me any ideas about what was going on. When he got off the phone I asked him what that was all about. He then told me that his cousin MeLea's little girl died. I was shocked! Melea has already had a hard life and she is such an amazing person. She is deaf and so is her husband, they have 4 kids, all hearing. 3 little boys and one little girl.

Shelbi (MeLea's little girl) was 6 years old. She had gotten sick and started throwing up on Monday and Tuesday morning Rian (her dad) was getting ready for work really early in the morning and went in to check on her and she was sitting up in her bed shuffling some papers around. He asked her how she was feeling and she told him a little better. He went to work and when he got home MeLea told him that she was just getting worse. So they took her to the hospital and a little while after she got there she went into a coma. Her heart rate accelerated really fast and then her heart stopped. They tried to do CPR on her but she wouldn't be revived. She died that night and no one really knew what happened to her or why she died.
They found out yesterday that she had a hernia in her stomach that was releasing poisons into her body and these poisons killed her colon. All these things caused her to have a lot of potassium in her body which caused her heart to race and stop.
Yesterday they went into her room to get a blanket that was her favorite to put in her casket and while they were in there they found a bunch of letters and pictures she had written and drawn for different people in her family. She wrote her testimony to her parents and drew a picture of her dad baptizing her and on the back a picture of Jesus. Then she drew pictures and wrote little notes to her grandparents, her brother, her 3 best friends, and her little cousin that she was really close to. Her testimony was so amazing especially for a little 6 year old that was only in first grade. To sum it up she said how much she loved her family, how she loved her heavenly father and Jesus so much, she was greatful for her Savior and close with Amen.
She was an amazing little girl and I think that some one was there to prompt her to do that and help her say her good byes with out really knowing for herself, I am sure, that she was going to die.
Her funeral was beautiful, and she was a beautiful little girl!  I write this in her memory!

Christmas!

Before I start anything I am sure you want to know the last two days of the 12 days of christmas!

On the 11th day of Christmas our secret friends gave to me some piping hot things to eat and drink.
I don't have a picture of the 12th day and I am so mad at myself for not getting one but this is what it said, On the 12th day of Christmas your not so secret friends gave to me... 10 players and two coaches...
Jaden's sister and brother in law were standing at our door with an envelope with a red ribbon on it. They gave us the envelope and inside was two tickets to th
e Jazz game 2nd row! They are playing New Orleans so they thought we would really like that game! As soon as I opened the door to them I got all emotional. I really don't think they will ever know how much it meant to us! They are so darn giving!
This year for Christmas we went down to Henderson to spend tim
e with my family for the holiday. I flew down on the 22nd and Jaden came down on the 24th because he had to work Christmas eve. Keisha drove our car down for us and then just dropped the car off to Jaden when he got off his plane. Christmas eve was a lot of fun! we tried out some new traditions and of course kept some of our old ones. My mom wanted us to all bring a tradition from our in laws so I brought from Jaden's family the acting out of the Nativity. Everyone drew parts and then acted it out. It was  a lot of fun!
Christmas morning we got up at like 8 and then made
and ate breakfast and then opened presents one at a time. It was a lot of fun. I was super glad that we ate before we started though. Austin, Mindy's little one, got sick that morning and was throwing up and stuff. That stunk really bad. We let Austin open his presents and then Jacob took him home. Christmas night we played games and just had  a lot of fun!
Here's some pictures of our fun!

12 days of Christmas!

Ok I told you I would put the rest of the days of Christmas on here. Obviously it's still not over but here are days 5-10.

On the 5th day of Christmas my secret friends gave to me... Five twenty dollar bills! Can I just tell you what a shocker that one was! I almost started to cry when we got this one!

On the 6th day of Christmas my secret friends gave to me a goose down comforter for laying and a soft hippo. That comforter is so soft! I really loved the hippo! I kept hugging it and Jaden told me to put it down it wasn't mine, it was Kysa's!

On the 7th day of Christmas my secret friends gave to me... Seven rocks a swimmin and a movie with a body of water in it! I just thought that this one was great! I've always wanted one of those rock water things!
On the 8th day of Christmas my secret friends gave to me some items for 8 maids a milking! This was clever I thought. Milk and glasses, and then some cleaning supplies. I hope they weren't telling me to clean my house. lol!
On the 9th day of Christmas my secret friends gave to me some fun things to lay in and watch some ladies dancing. They are so creative!

I am not sure if you can read that one so I will type it. On the 10th day of Christmas my secret friends gave to me A Pineapple Candle?????????????????????????????

That sure isn't a pineapple candle... what do you think? It is $100 in 10's! Some one really loves us and we really love that someone! I have a strange feeling that whoever is doing this isn't going to tell us who they are! I am a little sad and if I don't find out it will totally drive me up a wall... but I will understand why they didn't tell us if they don't. I sure wish I could thank them from the very bottom of my heart! They don't know what this has ment to Jaden and I! I will keep you updated on the last two! Hope you are enjoying this as much as we are and my sister Mindy. She calls me every night to see what we got, it's cute!

The Stranger

This is my favorite Christmas story of the season! I hope that you like it as much as I did. I dare you not to cry. Maybe I'm the only one who cries at stories, I am pregnant!

At Christmas time there was a man who looked so out of place
As people rushed about him at a hurried sort of pace.
He stared at all the Christmas lights, the tinsel everywhere,
The shopping center Santa Claus, with children gathered near.

The mall was packed with shoppers who were going to and fro,
Some with smiles and some with frowns and some too tired to go.
They rested on the benches or they hurries on their way,
To fight the crowd  for purchases to carry home that day.

The music from a stereo was playing loud and clear
Of Santa Claus, and snowmen, and a funny-nosed reindeer.
He heard the people talk about the good times on the way,
Of parties, furs, and food galore, and gifts exchanged that day.

"I'd like to know what's going on," the man was heard to say,
"There seems to be some sort of celebration on the way,
And would you tell me who this is, all dressed in red and white?"
And why are children asking him about a special night?"

The answer came in disbelief, "I can't believe my ear!
I can't believe you do not know that Christmastime is here.
The time when Santa comes around with gifts for girls and boys.
When they're asleep on Christmas Eve, he leaves them books and toys.

The man you see in red and white is Santa Claus, so sly.
The children love his joyful laugh and twinkle in his eye.
His gift packed sleigh is pulled along by very small reindeer,
As he flies quickly through the air, while darting here and there.

The children learn of Santa Claus while they are still quite small.
When Christmas comes he is the most important of all!"

The stranger hung his head in shame, he closed a nail-pierced hand.
His body shook in disbelief, he did not understand.
A shadow crossed his stricken face, his voice was low but clear,
"After all these years, they still don't know," and Jesus shed a tear.

I hope that you all enjoyed that little story as much as I did. Let us all remember what Christmas is really about.
Merry Christmas!

Emotions!

So Everyone has told me that while you are pregnant you cry all the time. I didn't really believe so much because I was totally fine at the beginning. Not any more! Holy cow! I cry over everything. My mom made us this book called the 25 days of Christmas, everyday you read a scripture, sing a song (which we don't do, we just look at the name of the song to see if we know it or not and thats about it for the song) and read a story. The point of this book is to help you remember what Christmas is really about, Christ. So every night Jaden and I get ready for bed and then sit and read this. Pretty much every story so far has made me cry. I am such a baby. The funniest story though is when I went to pick up my pills at Kmart. I went up asked for my pills and the girl was ringing me up and said "Wow, are your pills always this much?" I asked her how much and she told me $255 for one and $165 for the other one! I was so shocked! I told her our insurance is suppose to pay 80% of our pills. She said well let me call your insurance and see what is up. She called them and then came back over to me and told me they told her we pay 100%. Our insurance doesn't pay anything! I just started to cry. The poor girl was like oh I am so sorry! I told her it was ok I was pregnant. She felt so bad. So I just got the cheaper one and left and when I got in the car noticed that she had left them both in there so I took one back in. I am not going to lie, it was so hard to do that because we didn't have the money to get the other one. But I know it would have been so wrong. I'm glad I was honest even though it would have been nice to have them both for $165.

Poor Jaden, he has to put up with all of my crying. We fight about anything and I totally lose it. He's a good man though because he tries so hard to keep me from crying.
I got good news today though! Since our insurance won't cover the cost of my pills I went online to see if I could find some where that could help cover the cost of it. I found this place called RX aid. They are making it so that we only have to pay $25 a month for each of my medications. That is such a huge load off out shoulders! The Lord is really blessing us!
As soon as I get a chance to go over to my in laws house, I will put the other days from the 12 days of Christmas on here. These people are so giving! Like I said when we need it most the Lord provides!

5th and 6th month; 12 days of Christmas!

So since I have been such a slacker I didn't put last months picture on so here is last month and this months pictures.

I'm getting huge! I really have nothing to wear now! I still have some shirts but pants, none. This is becoming a problem that I need to solve and fast!

For the past 4 days we have had a secret visitor. Some one has been doing the 12 days of Christmas for us. It has been so cool! They have been doing some really fun things So I have been taking pictures to show how much fun this has been. Whoever is doing this is really creative and fun!

The little note at the top says" on the first day of Christmas my secret friends gave to me a bat in a pear tree."

This is for the second day the note for this one said "on the second day of Christmas your secret friend gave to you some turtles and some doves for you to chew."

"On the third day of Christmas your secret friend brings to you Three french breads and spaghetti"

"On the Forth day of Christmas your secret friend has four calming items for you."

So that is where we are right now is the 4th day. Tomorrow we will see what we get.

Since I wrote last a lot has happened to us. A few weeks ago our jeep got broken into. I park at trax and leave our jeep there all day while I am at work and when I got home that day I got to the jeep and something was wrong with our lock. It looked weird but it was locked so I thought that some one tried to get in but couldn't and I was feeling better until I opened the door. The stereo and speakers and some other things were all gone. The jeep was left a huge mess. As soon as I saw it I just bust into tears. I called Jaden and then went to his parents house and got the insurance and everything taken care of. We just got the jeep back yesterday from being fixed. Our insurance paid for everything except $100 of it. We have good insurance. A couple days after that the battery on my car died. We have just had bad luck with our poor cars. I will try and keep this better updated. :)
